This was a fun outing. I've petted and held chickens before, but I've never collected their eggs. It was fun to see where the chickens live in the winter - as it turns out, it's rather nicer than certain dorms I've been in. The pigs and sheep looked pretty comfortable too, especially the sheep, who had their own personal watchdog.

I missed the first day of grad school because of the hurricane, and we lost power for a few days, but it could have been worse. Here's something I never thought I would love about my internship: getting up early. I've always been a morning person, but not in the sense that I wake up early.
