Wool People

I want to knit everything from the new Brooklyn Tweed collection Wool People, and I want to have finished before the fall comes - because who knows how much free time I'll have once grad school starts? Summer really should be my prime knitting season, but it never works out that way. I have to try harder. I especially want to make the blanket in the first picture - I love that color.

Purl Projects.

Today my friend and I went to Purl Soho, one of the best knitting stores ever. The space itself is gorgeous - huge, well-lit, and filled with amazing yarns. I especially enjoy looking at the knitting and sewing projects that people in the store create for its website. Many of the patterns are available for free at the Purl Bee. Above are some of my favorites. I really like the colorful garter-stitch blankets, the baby fairisle cardigans (I'm thinking of making an adult-sized version), and the shirt dress. I need to improve my sewing skills pronto so I can make it.

Appropriate.

But not really. The only thing that actually hurt is my wallet. Teeth are expensive!

This city

I'm in love with it. I wish I could live there right now. Unfortunately, I have to be its admirer from afar, at the moment. I've forgotten where most of these pictures come from; they've been sitting on my desktop in my "Pretty" folder. However, I'm assuming that several are from For Me, For You, particularly the fourth and fifth pictures.
